Maya - Violin teacher
I’m Maya Litmanovich a dedicated violist and violinist with over 12 years of experience playing and 3+ teaching, currently studying at HKU Utrechts Conservatorium. My musical journey began at age 6 with private lessons and continued at the Special Music School of the Kaufman Music Center in New York City, where I received rigorous training in both performance and music theory. I have participated in many music festivals across the globe, including the Killington Music Festival (2018–2019), the Académie Internationale de Musique in Paris, France (2022), and the Crescendo Summer Music Festival in Tokaj, Hungary (2023). I have also performed in a variety of ensemble settings, most recently serving as a freelance orchestral musician and youth orchestra ringer in the Netherlands. In addition to my performance credentials, I have organized and performed in numerous benefit concerts, supporting causes such as breast cancer awareness and Ukrainian relief efforts. Whether on stage or in the classroom, I bring a deep musicality, a thoughtful approach to teaching, and a global perspective to all that I do.

Violin lessons overview
I’m a passionate violin and viola teacher who focuses on musicality, artistic development, and the powerful connection between the mind, body, and music. With over a decade of playing experience and training from some of the world’s leading music institutions, I bring a holistic, intuitive approach to every lesson. I believe that music is not just something we play—it’s something we feel and embody. When the body is aligned and the mind is calm and engaged, everything becomes possible. My teaching emphasizes posture, physical awareness, and emotional expression as keys to unlocking musical potential. In my lessons, I strive to create a space where students not only develop technical skills, but also discover their own artistic voice. I want my students to explore why they play, not just how, and to grow into musicians who are confident, sensitive, and expressive. For me, the ultimate goal is to help each student find freedom, joy, and meaning in their music.
