Guitar lessons quick guide

My method of teaching entails the expressed wants and needs of the student, meaning, that I take music/material that the students likes or designates to learn and start getting to work on that. That way, the material is engaging and fun and takes away a bit from the "work" aspect of practice. It's important for the student to play the songs or music they are interested in, especially in a simplified manner for beginners. I teach given the skill set of the student and aim to teach in a way to get the material down, but to also retain the given information. As retainment is achieved, then the lesson expands into the writing/theory of the music, which introduces theory practice into the equation so the student isn't only learning the material but also the structure or the building blocks of the composition. My personalized teaching approach combines expressive musicality, performance coaching, and theory integration to create effective lessons. By integrating theory into practical playing, students gain a holistic understanding of the instrument. I leverage a wide array of tools both online and offline, such as notation software, practice apps, recording tools, and interactive learning platforms to enhance the learning experience. With a curriculum designed to suit diverse learning styles, I have successfully taught over 200+ students, including adults, beginners, kids, intermediate, and advanced players. My methodology strengths lie in fostering a deep connection with the music, building performance confidence, and nurturing a solid foundation for continuous growth!
