Ana - Your piano teacher

I'm a teacher passionate about teaching music, specifically Piano. I have a degree in music and a master's degree in music therapy, that has given me the tools to improve my teaching skills, and I also have extensive experience as a teacher, that has helped me understand that everyone has their own unique learning style and pace. I'm empathetic and effective in analyzing student's musical and educational abilities, enabling me to create a personalized, functional and effective Work plan on the piano. As a music teacher, I've worked with children, helping them discover and enhance their musical abilities through play and engaging activities that motivate them to continue learning. As a mother, I know that what is taught with love is forever engraved in the minds and hearts of children, and that is my greatest advantage when teaching.

Piano lessons at a glance

My teaching method is based on three important phases: the first one is to diagnose the student's prior knowledge of music and the piano, to know where to start, taking into account any incorrect techniques learned or false beliefs about themselves that have prevented them from advancing in their learning. The second phase is to teach correct basic piano technique through exercises and songs that allow students to develop skills such as independence, coordination and hand agility. The repertoires chosen will take into account the student's musical tastes and preferences, wich maintaining their motivation and allowing them to participate in their educational process by contributing topics or songs they would like to learn on the piano. The third aspect of my teaching methodology is to allow students to realize their progress and feel challenged to learn something increasingly difficult, without pushing their learning pace, but still allowing progress to be seen. The study plan will be highly personalized according to each student's charactetistics and educational needs.
