Asher - Violin teacher
I’m Asher! Welcome to my page! I have been teaching violin for 8 years and have been learning violin for over 20 years. I’ve had a long journey in selecting a field I not only excel at, but also enjoy, from trying out Computer Science to Psychology to Music Composition and even History. I am very happy to have settled on teaching violin! I hope I can help my students achieve their violin goals, regardless of what they may be. Outside of teaching violin, I enjoy cooking and baking, fishing, writing music, and playing video games. Teach me something about what you enjoy too! I strive to have not only a good student-teacher relationship, but also connect with my students on a personal level. I believe that if my students enjoy what they’re doing and feel heard during their lessons, they will be more inclined to practice and will achieve their musical dreams faster.

Violin lessons overview
I have been learning violin since I was 4 and have made many mistakes along the way. In making mistakes, I have learned how to fix all sorts of musical, technical, and rhythmic problems that a student might face on their violin journey. Beyond that, I strive to make lessons fun and engaging through the selection of exciting and interesting songs, unique exercises and etudes, and, most importantly, connection with my students. I also aim to accommodate any student’s needs. I have experience teaching students as young as 5 and as old as 57. No matter what your age, skill level, or background, I can ensure your satisfaction with the quality of my lessons. Interested in playing difficult pieces like “ Zigeunerweisen?” I will set you up for success with etudes and repertoire that improve musicality and technical skill. Just looking to play fun songs from TV shows you know? I can find and even transpose any piece you’re interested in playing. I’m looking forward to working with you!
