Julia - Get to know your vocal coach
"My primary goal as a vocal instructor is to enable my students with the ability to create their desired sound in the healthiest way possible.I am also a classically trained pianist who believes that musical literature (reading music) is an invaluable skill! After getting to know a student and understanding their goals, I tailor an approach that the reinforces passion and joy within the desired skill. As a Neurodivergent individual, music has always been a vital tool for me throughout my life.I love meeting and working with other nearodivergent musicians! I value and prioritize creating Autism/ADHD/AudHD friendly environments so that EVERYONE can learn, thrive, and experience creating something beautiful." MÆVIA (also known as Julia MacVicar) is a musician and interdisciplinary artist based in Tkaronto. As a neurodivergent individual, MÆVIA is passionate about increasing inclusivity within creative spaces and exploring different narratives. As a teacher, her approach is tailored to the individual and based on a sincere love for the arts! MÆVIA teaches singing, piano, and guitar. Music and the brain is a special interest and, outside of music, she is a visual artist and writes poetry as well.
