I’m Colin Cogar and i am from Chicago, Illinois and I have been playing the violin for 10 years and i had started to do violin tutor 2 years ago. I can work with beginners, intermedite, and advenced students. I am also in school for my music education degree where I am part of the string ensemble. My specialites include Bow Techniques, Ear training, music theory, sight reading, finger placement, vibrato techniques, and rhythm patterns. When i teach students, they come to a nice, peaceful, and engaging enviroment. I'm super passionate about the violin and music in general, and I think that enthusiasm is contagious. Learning an instrument can be tough, but I'm all about making it fun and engaging. I don't just drill scales; I want you to love playing and understand the music you're making. Everyone learns differently, and I'm good at figuring out what clicks for you. Whether you're a total beginner or have some experience, I'll create a personalized plan to help you reach your goals, whether that's acing your school orchestra audition or just being able to play your favorite song.
