Classically Trained Pianist with Background in Musical Theatre, providing Specialised Lessons

Hi, I'm Jonah Unger, a classically trained pianist with a passion for education and music. I've been studying piano for over 17 years, and specialise in classical piano and music theory, supplemented with an extensive background in musical theatre. If you're looking to get a start with piano or music theory, or have a grasp of the fundamentals but want to continue developing your musicality, I will make sure to cater our lessons to your specific needs. I'm familiar with a large range of musical styles, but have the most experience with classical music (Baroque, Romantic, etc.). I started piano lessons at 8 years old, studying with the writer, academic, and composer Tina Davidson from 2009 to 2019, before I left for university. Since then I have continued to study music theory and develop my own musical abilities, including teaching myself guitar. My educational experience is largely voluntary, having taught workshops and led student events on acting, performance, and theatre throughout my university career. For the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 academic years, I was the President of the SAL Drama Society at Abertay University, capitalising on my long history with community and musical theatre.
